The music of the Rabbinical School Dropouts has been featured on "Visiting With Huell Houser," NBC News San Diego, KPBS Radio's "The Lounge," numerous national and international radio stations, and has been written about in the L.A. Times, San Diego Reader, San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego North County Times and various other publications.

The Rabbinical School Dropouts' third CD, Cosmic Tree, was recorded at Proxy Studios in Oceanside, CA, and subsequently released July 23, 2002 on John Zorn's Tzadik label.

“...you will be sucked into the hypnotic, swirling world of the RSD and then be showered by a water cannon of absurdity... This is not for the faint-hearted, though it is plenty accessible; it's also a hell of a lot of fun.” — Thom Jurek, All Music Guide

The second album, Counterfeit Gelt (a.k.a. The Lost Album), was found and successfully nursed back to full strength. It was released back into the wild in May 2002 on Ethnic Warrior Productions. You can listen to selected tracks through mp3.com.

“Probably avant garde in whatever genre it belongs with, it is an indescribably mysterious and romantic kind of music...” – Richard, Christmas Reviews

The First Album, Introducing the Rabbinical School Dropouts, was released in 1999 on Amazing Colossal Records, a division of Friedmann International. You can listen to selected tracks through mp3.com. The album features original modern klezmer compositions and according to the critics, is:

“Postmodernist, exotic, and a ‘brother act’ as well” -Richard Meltzer, San Diego Reader

“Frank Zappa and Dr. Seuss intersect with John Zorn and the Art Ensemble of Chicago by way of  Naftule Brandwein and Joseph Moskowitz in a largely improvised musical co-directed by Woody Allen and Howard Stern. with Eddie Cantor offering spiritual support from the great kibbutz in the sky." -George Varga, Union Tribune

“Sun Ra & Frank Zappa at Woody Harrelson's backyard BBQ." -Brian Broccoli, B-Rock Magazine

“Post-Klezmer. Definitely worth checking out.” -Ari Davidow, Klezmershack.com
